Who We Are
We are a community organizing group that empowers Castro Valley citizens to assert greater control over our community’s municipal affairs and will plan for and seek to implement a vision for Castro Valley’s future.
Our Mission
Our mission is threefold:
Castro Valley Matters may occasionally take a position on an issue or legislation that could benefit Castro Valley, its residents, or the unincorporated communities of Alameda County and California. Castro Valley Matters does not support, endorse, or oppose any individual candidate for public office.

Your presentation tonight at the MAC meeting was outstanding. My vote is for a town plaza for sure!
Thank you so much, Julie. Your support is refreshing to hear!
It was most definitely a team effort. And we’re constantly looking to include more people on that team.
If you’d like to get involved on this town square stuff, or if you have other burning Castro Valley ideas, we’d love to hear your thoughts. I guess you can say it’s an open call for people to submit content for this blog.
Thank you again!
As a long time Castro Valley resident, since 1943. I have seen and enjoyed the progress and the growth of our community.
Rarely have I enjoyed anything more than the performance by the Castro Valley Adult School Orchestra yesterday Sunday November 2nd. Where once there were chicken houses and apricot fields there has emerged a magnificent theater. Based on the attendance yesterday It seems that it’s still a well kept secret, but those that did attend made their presence noticed by their loud applause.
Thank you Castro Valley Performing Arts for a very pleasant Sunday afternoon.
